Finisher's Medal
At the Cleveland Half Marathon & 5k, we take finisher's medals seriously.
Each year, we choose an iconic Cleveland building to represent our race as that year's finisher's medal. This race is Cleveland's hometown half marathon, and we want to honor the beauty and history of our town with the finisher's medals each year.
2017: Craigmiles Hall
In 2017, we held an online vote to choose the building for the first year's finisher's medal. The public overwhelmingly chose Craigmiles Hall! This beautiful building is recognizable to anyone in Cleveland.
2018: Hardwick Woolen Mill
We were excited for an even bigger finisher's medal in 2018! That year, the medal was a historical rendition of the Hartwick Woolen Mill, a beautiful mill building. The medal measures 3in x 5in, making it even larger than last year's awesome medal!
2019: Hardwick House
The 2019 medal featured the historic Hardwick House, now home to the Bradley County Library Archives located on Ocoee Street.
2021: Lee University chapel
The 2021 Finisher Medal commemorated the beautiful Lee University Chapel on Ocoee Street. The chapel is a favorite for Lee students and alumni, as well as an icon remembered by visitors to Cleveland.
2022: Complete your collection
In 2022, we gave finisher’s the opportunity to complete their collection from 2017-2021 by choosing a medal they didn’t already have, between Craigmiles Hall, the Hardwick Woolen Mill, the Hardwick House, and the Lee University Chapel.
2023: TERrA RUNNING BUILDING
In 2023 we were excited to commemorate Terra Running Company’s forever home on the corner of Ocoee and 1st Streets downtown!
2024: Princess theatre
In 2024, we are excited to honor the former Princess Theatre, located on S. Ocoee St. The beautiful building now houses the United Way of the Ocoee Region.
